Summer Youth Art Camp
Week 3 Classes
June 29-July 2, 2021
  Half Day
9:00am - 1:00pm

Campers will have stars in their eyes about this third week of camp in Mosaic Under the Stars.  Students will explore space and discover rainbows, aliens, solar systems and a lot more!  This Half Day Camp provides children with  creativity and different art mediums.  Our Campers will participate in  3 quality art classes: clay, drawing and fiber arts.  The Campers will have short breaks between classes.    We will have a mini art show on Friday to showcase the art created that week at camp.  
 
 Classes are organized by age: Mini Monet (ages 6-7) , Petite Picasso (ages 8-9) , Rising Rembrandt (ages 10+). 
​ Ages 6 - 14 welcome. 
​
Lunch will NOT be provided
May bring snacks if needed
Don't forget your mask!

Classes:

​Mosaic Under the Stars in Weaving
June 29-July 2, 2021
Week 1- Tuesday-Friday, 4 days
9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Instructor: Robyn Czyscon
Ages: 6-14
Campers will create sun faces, yarn clouds with rainbows and fiber art flowers and plants.  Student can put their own creativity in each project.  The older student will learn simple embroidery techniques and geometric designs by stitching a mandala and creating a mobile solar system using yarn.  Some extra fiber art projects include folded stars.

Drawing Mosaic Under the Stars
June 29-July 2, 2021
Week 1- Tuesday-Friday, 4 days
9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Instructor: Kim Hamby
Ages: 6-14
By using colored pencils, campers will create mosaic flowers and suncatchers.  Students will use light, medium and heavy pressure of the same color to create different mosaic pieces.  The older campers will draw on a drafting film and create their own mosaic design.  Other projects include drawing on graph paper and paper cutting.  The camper will learn pencil techniques including shapes, patterns, warm vs cool colors and complementary colors.

Mosaic Under the Stars with Clay
June 29-July 2, 2021
Week 1- Tuesday-Friday, 4 days
9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Instructor: Luce Van Asten
Ages: 6-14
Campers will build a totem with stars, planets, aliens, spaceships, satellites and embellish with mosaics pieces.  Each student will learn slab and pinch pot techniques along with creating a group project for the class.




Daily schedule will include:
   9:00am - 10:10am - Class 1
 10:10am - 10:20am - Break
 10:20am - 11:30am - Class 2
 11:30am - 11:40pm - Break
 11:40pm - 12:50pm - Class 3
 12:50pm-   1:00pm-  Wrap-up/ Pickup

The Programming Coordinator is in the office from 10 am - 6pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
