Richard Low Evans High School Graduate Scholarship

Richard Low Evans was a local artist who loved and captured the beauty of Blue Ridge and the surrounding areas.  Mr. Evans’ and his family were instrumental in spearheading the growth of the artistic community in Blue Ridge and the growth of the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association.  Upon Mr. Evans’ passing in 2007, the Evans’ scholarship was established by the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association in conjunction with the generous support of the Evans’ family estate to assist with the expenses of a graduating Fannin County high school student pursuing a college education with a focus in the arts.
