Our hit Mosaic class has returned to the Art Center!
This class will teach a variety of mosaic techniques including material selection, design, cutting stained glass and using tile nippers to create the visual elements of the mosaic, setting the pieces with mortar and finally grouting the piece utilizing a traditional mortar and grout process with broken china or pottery pieces. At the end of the class, the student gets to take home a completed artistic garden birdbath. The Instructor will provide glass to complete the project and students are encouraged to bring china, pottery dishes or tiles (already broken) for possible inclusion in their bird bath.  The class will be held in two sessions to allow sufficient time for the adhesive to set before grouting. Be sure to sign up early, due to limited seating.  Students supply list include safety glasses, pencil, black sharpie, work gloved and wear clothes that can get dirty.

 Class Registration is now CLOSED.

Call (706) 632-2144 for questions regarding this course and registration.  Payment is required to register for BRMAA courses. You may pay via PayPal above, over the phone, or visit The Art Center located at 420 West Main Street, Blue Ridge, GA 30513 to pay in person.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Picture
LENZY GRIFFIN BOND

Lenzy has been teaching and creating quality art glass, stained glass, glass beads, mosaics and fused glass, for more than 20 years. Her husband gave her a gift of glass classes and there was no looking back.
Although Lenzy is passionate about producing art herself, she has always found educating and instructing others about her trade to be highly rewarding. She has had her glass work displayed in galleries and shops in North Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Missouri. In addition, she has held classes in North Georgia and North Carolina.
Lenzy has traveled and lived all over the United States, Canada and Spain. In the many places visited and lived, she always admired glass work in churches, sanctuaries, museums, and buildings.
