Splish Splash Mosaic Birdbath

Beginners
July 26 & 30, 2025 - Saturday & Wednesday (2 Sessions)
11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Saturday) & 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (Wednesday)
Instructor: Lenzy Griffin Bond
Class Fee: $140.00 non-members + $40.00 supply fee
               $126.00 BRMMA members + $40.00 supply fee

Using the direct mosaic method, the workshop will cover material selection, design and scouring glass, using nippers, applying adhesive and grout. At the end of the second day, students will have a one-of-a-kind artistic birdbath. The instructor will provide plenty of glass to complete the project and students are encouraged to bring china, pottery dishes, tiles (already broken) and other small trinkets for POSSIBLE inclusion in their bird bath. The workshop will be held in two sessions, Saturday and Wednesday, to allow sufficient time for the adhesive to set before grouting. Enjoy your creation and share with your feathered friends. Please wear old clothes and closed toe/heeled shoes, and bring a mask, pencil, personal eye protection, optional disposable gloves, and optional broken china, tiles and other possible objects (old jewelry pieces, trinkets, seashells, etc.) to incorporate with the stained-glass mosaic design.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

LENZY GRIFFIN BOND

Lenzy has been teaching and creating quality art glass, stained glass, glass beads, mosaics and fused glass, for more than 20 years. Her husband gave her a gift of glass classes and there was no looking back.
Although Lenzy is passionate about producing art herself, she has always found educating and instructing others about her trade to be highly rewarding. She has had her glass work displayed in galleries and shops in North Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Missouri. In addition, she has held classes in North Georgia and North Carolina.
Lenzy has traveled and lived all over the United States, Canada and Spain. In the many places visited and lived, she always admired glass work in churches, sanctuaries, museums, and buildings.
