Robin Lewis-Wild Retrospective Exhibit
October 21 - November 11, 2023

Picture

On the Poster to left, “The Road Home” by Robin Lewis-Wild.

Robin wrote “The view from my driveway draws me home. The scene changes dramatically with the time of day and seasons. It leaves me awestruck”. Robin Lewis-Wild was an artist her whole life, originally from Florida, she spent summers in the Blue Ridge mountains. She received a BA in Art from Stetson University, studied at Tyler School of Art and studied under the renowned oil and pastel artist, Leonardo De Vinchenzo.

After a ten year stint in advertising, Robin returned to Blue Ridge and pursued her art. Robin spent more than twenty years teaching, writing and creating traditional and contemporary bobbin lace art. After life-changing events in the late 1990’s, Robin returned to her love of oils and pastels.

“I want to evoke the serenity of the landscapes from which I find comfort and healing” she wrote. “I want to capture the fleeting glimpses of a bygone era quickly vanishing…”

Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association is proud to present a retrospective of Robin Lewis-Wild’s art October 21 – November 11 in our Studio Gallery.

Opening reception will be held October 21 from 5pm to 7pm. Free and open to the public.
