ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: PATTY OVERMYER
Patty Overmyer was a Special Education Teacher for over 32 years. She also taught a few art classes and got to go to Italy for a month and study some art there. Patty enjoys mainly watercolors and acrylics for painting now in her retirement. Patty also enjoys reading, music, and movies.
Patty was born in Texas but went to Minnesota when she was young. After getting married and raising her 3 sons, she moved to Arizona. She now chose Georgia for retirement to be close to 2 of her sons and her grandchildren. Patty liked to travel and did so hauling a camper for a couple of summers. She has also been to Mexico and Brazil.
The watercolor trees are a great sample of how anyone can make a nice piece of art even if they have never painted before or don’t consider themselves an artist. It is completed more “mechanically” and has some fun techniques used.
