Wood Carving Workshop

Class Fee: $25.00 non-members + $10 supply fee
                  Free for BRMAA members + $10 supply fee
                   
This workshop will introduce students to wood carving including tool safety, and basic tool usage will be emphasized. Students will learn the safe procedures for carving using a knife, and be introduced to sharpening, stropping, check-cuts, push-cuts, stop-cuts and paring-cuts. Tools will be available to use or bring your favorite knife. In this workshop, students will work on carving a cardinal. No previous experience needed. Limited seating, please sign up early. Following the workshop will be the Blue Ridge Carvers regular meeting, which you will be welcome to stay for; they meet every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. here at the Art Center.
