Come learn something new and unique! This Marquetry class will teach you the process of creating an image with wood veneers. The students will cut the veneer pieces with an exacto knife at a 4 degree angle so that the joints are perfect. Each piece of veneer will be glued onto a wood block. The student can pick from two different patterns offered by the Instructor. Once the veneer pieces are glued and pressed onto the wood block, the student will sand and varnishing the completed 8X10 picture. The Instructor will supply the materials and frame. The student must bring their own Exacto No. 1 knife, spare blades and a 12X18 self-healing cutting board. This 2 day course will have a short lunch break and students may bring their own lunches. This is the class to learn something totally new and inspiring!
