In this hands-on workshop, students will embark on the process of learning and interacting with lighting solutions for Portrait Photography. Natural light and studio lighting will be discussed fully in class, as well as how to amend your lighting to achieve stunning results both in-studio and on location. Learn how to choose the best lighting possible for the situation at hand. The students will photograph subjects and work hands-on with lighting and ambient light tools to enhance their photographic portrait skills. This class is designed for anyone wishing to create more conceptual portraits for personal or professional level photography needs. To gain the best results from this workshop, we suggest that students have an understanding of their camera, F-stop, shutter speed, and have processed their images through Lightroom or Photoshop. The afternoon of Day 2, all students will import their images, adjust them for critiquing, and make selections of their best images.

“NEIPP ( The New England Institute of Professional Photography) had the distinct pleasure of having Lou Freeman teach at our 4 1/2 day retreat in March of 2014.
The energy and inspiration she brought to us was immeasurable. Each student I spoke with, stated numerous times, how Lou helped them to understand the posing and lighting in a manner they had not previously encountered. Lou handled specific requests for help in a professional and giving manner.
Every student was delighted with the class, and felt energized to put Lou's teachings into practice. I have seen some of the students subsequent work, and see a marked difference in it."
