This photography workshop will cover, using lecture and slide show, the components of exposure, how they work together to affect an image, and how camera settings can be used to control these components. The students will practice setting camera functions for a properly exposed image under varying conditions. The supply list includes: your own camera with manual. Come and meet some great photographers and learn something new!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Joyce originally studied photography at the University of Florida School of Journalism and worked as a newspaper photographer and reporter before moving on to magazine editing and freelance writing/photography. After moving to the North Georgia Mountains and being inspired by the surrounding beauty, Joyce decided to focus on nature photography and has shown her work in local and regional galleries as well as at juried fine art shows throughout the Southeast.
Joyce teaches photography and digital imaging classes and leads photography workshops in Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. She has self-published two textbooks on photography and one collection of her work. Joyce is a founding member and past president of Blue Ridge Mountains Photographers (BRMP), past board member of the Blue Ridge Arts Association, and former show director for the BRMP National Juried Photography Exhibit.
