Fall Plein Air Festival Information

Eligibility

Open to all artists 18 years and older.

Entry Fee

Please submit a non‐refundable entry fee of $10.00 for members and $15.00 non-members.  Up to 3 images can be submitted.  Application is The Art Center Exhibit Agreement.

Juror

The Blue Ridge Spring Plein Air Celebration is a juried exhibition.  A panel of 2-3 judges will select winners.

Accepted Work Specifications (Exhibition Details)

All artwork must be completed in the Blue Ridge area between April 10 and April 11 of 2010. Blank canvases will be stamped with an approved insignia beginning on April 10.   Only artwork with this stamp will be permitted in the Exhibition & Sale.   In addition, all works must be suitably framed with proper backing. Wire hangers must be attached and ready to hang.

Sales

This event is a fundraiser for the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association, a 501
(C) 3 Non‐Profit. The Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association will retain a 30% commission for members and a 35% commission for non-members on all sales.   Commissioned pieces will also be permitted at the above mentioned rate. Payments for all work sold will be mailed
shortly after the exhibit closes.

  • April 11 thru May1st, 2010 Exhibit on Display at The Art Center. Artists may pick up art work May 4-8, 2010 between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.

Note:  An artist hospitality room will be set up for the two days of the event.  Maps of the area and information related to the Blue Ridge Adventure Race will, also, be available.
