You are cordially invited to enter the annual National Juried Show sponsored by the Southern Appalachian Artist Guild (The Guild). The show will be judged by Dr. Annette Blaugrund, former director of The National Academy of Design & School of Art. $5000 in prize money will be awarded including Best of Show for 2D and 3D art. Blue Ridge is located in the beautiful north Georgia mountains. The show will run from October 16th through November 12th. This is a traditionally heavy traffic time for fall leaf viewers, attracting interest from the surrounding metropolitan areas of Atlanta, Chattanooga, Knoxville and Asheville. Art works selected by the juror will be displayed in the Richard Low Evans Gallery. The gallery is in the historic courtroom of the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association (The Art Center).

Juror: Dr. Annette Blaugrund

Dr. Annette Blaugrund, Ph.D. is former Director of the National Academy of Design/Museum and School of Fine Arts, NY. In addition to her experience with the National Academy of Design, Annette is an art historian, curator and author. She has extensive experience as a show juror in the United States, Bermuda and Russia. We are pleased to have a juror of Dr. Blaugrund’s reputation and experience select our show for 2010.
